In ancient Egypt the houses were made of mud, straw, and bricks. Some houses were painted white and some were made of limestone.

                               Ancient Greece Houses

In ancient Greece the houses were made of stone, wood, and clay bricks. Men and woman lived in different parts of the house. Woman had the back and upstairs part.

                                          Ancient Rome

In ancient Rome the houses are made of mud-brick, brick, and wood.

A king called the pharaoh ruled ancient Egypt. He was the wealthiest and most important person in the country. The least important people were slaves, who were also the poorest people. Everyone else was in between. There were rules about who could do each job. Only a few people moved up into more important  jobs. They become slaves, or had to do the hardest, worst, paid work.

                       Ancient Rome

Most roman kids did not go to school. Girls mostly didn't go to school. Their parents needed them to work to get enough to eat. Boys younger than 7 did not go to school. If a boy did not learn what he was supposed to learn the teacher would often hit him with a stick. Many boys were very afraid of school and there teacher because they were scared of getting  hit with a stick.

                                 Ancient Egypt

There were schools in ancient Egypt but hardly anyone went to them. Girls weren't allowed to go to school. Very few girls could read and write. Only the richer girls could. Most boys didn't go to school either but a few boys from richer families went to a special school to train boys to be scribes. Scribes always found good jobs keeping peoples records for them. Scribes are writers.

Most kids in ancient china never got a chance to go to school. If you were a boy and your father had spare time he would send you to school. Boys usually started school at about 6 years old. You went to school every day with no weekends from about 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. There weren't any math lessons or science lessons.

In Ancient Rome most of the Romans who lived in the country side were farmers. The  most common crop was wheat. Wheat was used for bread.

In Ancient Egypt farmers were the most important people.They grew barley to make bear wheat for bread.  Scribes were a very important job in the Government. They recorded by writing legal and business  documents. 

In ancient China people had many jobs. One of them is trade. In ancient China trading was very important because of it's big population. Chinese people traded food, weapons and item's like jewelry and fabric.
